Every window, one move away.
Godkey tiles your Mac: keyboard-first, swipe-friendly, with a command line for you and your agent.
Get started on macOS
Every window in its place.
Godkey tiles each window as it opens, in columns that scroll sideways, screen by screen.
-
Columns
Classic, Cinematic and Panoramic give 16:9, 21:9 and 32:9 screens the right number of columns.
-
Stacks
⌥⌘← pulls the next window into the stack, and ⌥⌘→ pushes the last one out.
-
Option-Dock placement
Option-click a window in the Dock to open it right beside the one you work in.
A predictable Mac.
Godkey adapts to each app and each screen, so every window lands where you expect it.
-
Every app
Godkey adapts to each app, so its windows land where they belong.
-
Screens come back
Unplug a screen and its Lanes wait on your main one; plug it back in and they go home.
-
Always in order
Windows come and go, apps restart, screens change, and your layout stays in order.
Sized in one key.
Widen, center or fill, and back again.
-
Widen and narrow
⌥+ and ⌥− step a column through set widths, and ⌥⇧ trades the width with its neighbour.
-
Center and balance
⌥␣ centers the focused column, and ⌥⌃␣ evens out every column width.
-
Fill the screen
⌥F fills the screen with the column, ⌥⇧F goes full screen, and the same keys bring it back.
Back to your last window.
Hold ⌥ and press ⇥ again to step further back.
-
Last window
⌥⇥ brings your last used window right beside yours, from any screen or Space.
-
Just a look
⌥⇧⇥ brings it into the return stash instead, and it goes back home when you are done.
-
Same app
⌥⌘⇥ goes to the same app’s last used window.
Your favorites, over your work.
One Stash per screen, rising over the bottom three quarters.
-
Stash
⌥S shows or hides the Stash on the focused screen, with your favorite windows in it.
-
Stash a window
⌥⇧S stashes the window, and the same keys bring it back to the Lane underneath.
-
Return stash
Windows brought with ⌥⇧⇥ wait there, then go back to their exact seats when it hides.
A place for every project.
Each Lane holds one project, a key away.
-
Your Lanes
Name each Lane, pick one of 64 icons and a color, and drag them into order.
-
Menu bar
The menu bar can show the active Lane’s name, in its own color.
-
Picks up again
When Godkey restarts, your Lanes come back in their order, with the same window in focus.
Keyboard-first, swipe-friendly.
Directions you already know, on keys or fingers.
-
Swipes
Swipe sideways on a trackpad or Magic Mouse to walk between windows, no key needed.
-
Every arrow
Hold ⌥ and swipe: every arrow, with every modifier, becomes a gesture.
-
Full-screen Spaces
Godkey keys keep working in apps running in native full screen.
Learn as you go.
Godkey shows you the next move when you need it.
-
Hold ⌥
Hold ⌥ to see the keys that work right now; keep holding and it explains each combination.
-
Every shortcut

-
One hand reach
Every shortcut that is not a direction stays within one hand’s reach.
Beautiful by default.
Looks and Contours, drawn by Metal shaders.
-
Looks
Minimalist, Bold and Aesthetic set the gaps and borders, and ⌥⇧⌫ steps through them.
-

The focused window glows in its app icon’s colors or your theme’s, and the others turn to glass.
